Here are a couple new leaks from upcoming albums. The first one is new Antony and the Johnsons from the upcoming “The Crying Light” out January 20th. As I’ve said before, I really like Antony’s voice and his music has always been strangely intriguing to me, but this song seems to be missing something. Possibly music to go with the vocals? Still pretty cool, but it is basically Antony on some a cappella over one long “oooh”-sounding synth.
The second is another Morrissey song from Years of Refusal. I’ve never been a huge Morrissey fan, but this album is shaping up to be solid. Morrissey has always sounded a bit tame for my taste, but he goes hard on this song and his graceful singing style gains a little edge in order to cut through the distorted guitars and driving drums. Very cool song. Thanks to PTST.
