I got the Deerhunter album Microcastle a while ago and I was very disappointed. It wasn’t bad, but it seemed so mediocre that nothing really stood out to me. Obviously there is something about it that I’m missing, because it ended up on a lot of “best of 2008” lists and got very good reviews. I still don’t listen to the album, but there are a couple of tracks that are in rotation. The first is “Never Stops”, which I posted a while ago. The second is “Nothing Ever Happened”.
Sidenote: Is their lead singer Bradford Cox okay? I don’t know much about the dude but he looks like death.
