Young Thug is often down to interact with fans, but a new video shows that he’s not going to react too kindly to being called fellow Atlanta rapper Future.

In a clip that was uploaded online, shared most prominently by DJ Akademiks, comedian Gerald Huston recorded their interaction with Thugger at the Lenox Square mall in Atlanta. The man approached Thug and said, “the rapper Future what’s up boy,” which prompted the rapper to recoil slightly and shoot a death stare at the person as he walked away.

While the clip is pretty funny, it’s worthwhile to note that the person behind the clip knew it wasn’t Future and simply wanted a response.

Thug isn’t the only rapper to have been misidentified in public, as ASAP Rocky and Travis Scott were notably confused for one another on multiple occasions. One particularly hilarious clip from 2019 shows Rocky being mistakenly identified as “Travis” while walking into a pre-Grammys party. Rocky paused for a moment, visibly confused by what he heard, and continued to walk into the party as someone yelled, “ASAP.”

The video of Thug comes not too long after he inserted himself into Gunna and Freddie Gibbs’ beef, which stems from the latter’s allegation that the former appeared on Crime Stoppers. Thug quoted Gunna’s diss directed at Gibbs, which appeared on “Poochie Gown,” on his Instagram Story. In response, Gibbs simply trolled the two rappers with various “Pushin P”-related insults.
