Fresh off the release of his new album, which was notably preceded by a wide-ranging Complex interview, Young Thug has taken the Punk experience to the Saturday Night Live stage.

Appearing as the musical guest on the latest episode of the NBC sketch show, Thug performed “Tick Tock” and “More Than Anything.” Joining Thug was quite easily the most prolific drummer in the game, Travis Barker. In his second song, Thug was also joined by Gunna and Nate Ruess.

After an extended period of teasing, fans were alerted to the release date of Punk—frequently stylized as P*nk—during Thug’s appearance this past July on NPR’s Tiny Desk (Home) series. During the performance, which featured a special appearance by aforementioned drum virtuoso Travis Barker, Thug wore a t-shirt revealing the date of Oct. 15.

In the months since, Thug’s Punk period has appropriately been kicked into overdrive. Earlier this month, for example, Thug and Gunna were filmed destroying a Rolls-Royce at an album release party. The widely shared moment arrived amid Complex’s Young Thug Week festivities, which you can revisit here.

Punk is out now. Featured on the project, which marks Thug’s second studio album, are a slew of guests ranging from Nate Ruess of Fun and The Format fame to the late Mac Miller. “Rich N***a Shit,” meanwhile, features a posthumously released verse from Juice WRLD and co-production from Pi’erre Bourne and Kanye West. The latter, whose Donda project was unveiled earlier this year, previously teased the beat that would become that Punk highlight in a social media clip that resurfaced this week.
