Producer: Bass Brothers, Eminem
Album: "The Way I Am" B-side/The Marshall Mathers LP (Clean Version)
Label: Aftermath/Interscope
Appearing on the sanitized edition of The Marshall Mathers LP (a substitute for the too-darn-scary "Kim"), South Park's most well-known fan gets a star by his name for this imagined elementary-school performance in front of some inquisitive rugrats. (As usual, Em does all the voices.) The anti-drug ode that really isn't (Em reminds the children to "do as I don't") is balls-out funny, as we follow Em explaining what bloodthirsty psychos, G-strings, and magic mushrooms (whoops—we mean fungus) are to the confused tykes. And somehow the whole thing avoids being cutesy, even with the spot-on Cartman and Mr. Mackey impersonations. Extra credit goes to the clever writing and friendly Bass Brothers track.
