In a recent Twitch stream, T-Pain accused Kanye West of stealing one of the bars from his song “Danger” after ’Ye referred to the song as “corny,” then using it on My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy.

“Let me talk about a time that one of my corny lines got stolen,” T-Pain began during a Sept. 1 stream. “I’m so prepared for this, and I love this. Bro, Kanye stole one of my corny lines. I couldn’t believe it. Kanye stole one of my corny lines after he told me it was corny.”

T-Pain continued, saying that while working together, he was proud of his new mixtape and wanted West’s opinion. “It’s fucking Kanye bro, you know what I’m saying? I got a chance to show Kanye my fucking raps? And he’s not like super hip to my raps. He’s not been a fan of mine long enough to know that I actually rap, too. And I get a chance to show him how I rap. It was either Prevolver [or] it was one of the Pre mixtapes before I released it. And on one of the songs I said, ‘I got beef like two burgers/You n***as win slow and I’m smarter than Steve Urkel.’ Now, keep in mind the Winslow family, right. Corny as fuck. I knew it was corny when I said it.”

T-Pain said Kanye “confirmed” the line to be corny, and asked him to never “ever say anything like that.” He then claimed Kanye took the bar and amalgamated it into his own for MBDTF opener “Dark Fantasy.”

And he came with receipts.

“One of his bars was, ‘Too many Urkels on your team, that’s why your wins low.’ And I was like, ‘Did this n***a try to get me to not say my shit so he could say it?’ … I was like, ‘Bro, that’s my bar.’ He looked at me and he was literally bobbing his head, grabbing his chin, and when I said that line he looked at me and said, ‘Don’t say that.’”

As disappointing as that incident may have been, T-Pain has been hard at work this year silencing racists on Call of Duty and reconnecting with old collaborators. He’s been so busy that putting together a new body of his own work has proven to be tricky. He recently delayed the release of his next project until he makes sure “everyone else is good.” He took to Twitter to list off the 18 massive features he still has to work through before he can get back to doing his own thing.

“I literally can’t keep up with the ppl that aren’t on this list that hit me everyday,” he wrote. “This is the list of features I actually HAVENT done yet that I’ve gotten since the whole ‘situation’ a while back and I’ve promised to deliver. This is just features that I actually WANT to do. I’ve talked to these ppl personally and accepted the job.”

This means if anyone wants a classic T-Pain hook or verse, they might have to wait a while. “If you ask me for a feature at this point, just know that this list is in the order that the requests were received so there’s no way to get to the top of the list.”
