Rakeem Miles has teamed up with Waka Flocka Flame and Neptunes member Chad Hugo for his dance-oriented new single “It Is What It Is.”
With the type of funky production Hugo is renowned for, the colorful track sees Rakeem effortlessly glide across the bouncy beat. Waka Flocka, of course, also works well with the production, delivering a rapid-fire and smooth flow with plenty of his signature ad-libs to match. There’s shades of N.E.R.D. going on here, too, and that’s certainly a good thing.

Recently the Baltimore rapper, who previously collaborated with Adult Swim for the show Gemusetto, teased that a very exciting new collaboration could be on the way.
In a series of photos of Miles with J. Cole taken at one of his recent shows, Miles simply wrote, “Rakeem Miles x J Cole.”
Whether a song is on the way remains to be seen, but it’s clear that some heavy hitters are already paying attention to him.
