After making his debut in 2019 on Jallow’s “Tokyo Drift” and a subsequent Bl@ckbox freestyle a few months later, UK rap newcomer Yxng Dave spent the next couple of years steadily building a name by himself. A support slot on Dappy’s tour came last year and, as of last week, he’s now a signed on KSI’s TOT label.
Keen to prove it’s more than just hype, the bilingual rhymer of British, Spanish and Colombian heritage is ready with his first single on the label, “Canada Fur”. Produced by DJ Fricktion, it plays to all of the Yxng Dave’s strengths, flipping quickly between Spanish and English with plenty of nods to his Latin heritage on the instrumental, too.
