Tomorrow, May 14, Dutch D&B producer and boss of The North Quarter, Lenzman will release his new EP, A Little While Longer (pre-order here). This will be his first project on his own label in over four years and to give us one last incentive to cop it on release day, he’s today revealing the intimate, home video-style visuals for its latest single, “Lil Souljah”, with Manchester MC Slay.
Built around the liquid D&B sound he’s perfect over the years, “Lil Souljah” is a touching ode to fatherhood that uses Slay’s gift for subtlety and heartfelt penmanship to stir emotion, carefully avoiding any obvious and schmaltzy cliches. Director Jay Bannister steps up for the visuals, stitching together shots of Slay and his kids as they relish the important things in life together.
