Last year, after several years plotting her debut under the tutelage of the Amy Winehouse Foundation at The Roundhouse, North London singer-songwriter India Shan made an auspicious entrance into music, dropping off three singles and an EP in pretty quick succession. Now, after kicking the year off with “Straight Talk” (followed quickly by a batch of remixes), she’s ready with her next single, a sultry, late-night blend of pop and R&B titled “Don’t Wanna”.
The new track, which was produced by Etta Bond and Avelino collaborator Raf Riley, officially hits streaming services tomorrow (June 15). But before that, she’s today revealing the track’s video. Jake River Parker directs, playing up to her seductive poise with soft focus shots and bold silhouettes and shadows pierced with sharp flashes of reds, oranges and purples.
