A cool $100,000 payout could be coming to a Post Malone fan soon, Magic: The Gatheringshowdown pending.

The friendly fan-versus-artist battle marks a collaboration with independent shopping app Whatnot, which will be the platform from which Posty will select one lucky fan to play him in a game of Magic, potential for $100,000 victory included.

In a press release, John Walters—who serves as Head of Special Projects at Whatnot—touted this unique interactive experience as exactly the sort of endeavors the platform was designed to facilitate.

“Post Malone, both as an artist and as a person, fits perfectly into this growing and supportive community,” Walters said, adding that Posty will indeed be a “formidable opponent” for the impending match.

In short, here’s how this is all set to go down: On Aug. 4 at 9 p.m. ET, Posty will host a livestream on the Whatnot app, at which point a winner will be chosen at random to play him in a game of Magic. To enter for the potential of being selected, viewers need only to click the Enter Giveaway button on their screen. If the selected player is not familiar with the ways of Magic, per press materials, noted champion of the game Reid Duke will step in for training assistance ahead of the match.

The selected Posty battler will be flown out to Los Angeles for the main match, which is set for Aug. 11 and will also be streamed on Whatnot. For additional info, hit this link.

“Being on tour with Post is like every emotion hitting you at once, it’s intense and it’s wild, and our vision was to pull fans into the experience just enough to get a glimpse of this, while leaving the rest to the imagination,” Hector said of the hour-long film.
