Lizzo is beyond tired of body-shaming comments. In her latest sit-down with Good Morning America, the artist explained how her frustration isn’t only regarding herself, but for the unrealistic body standards that these remarks promote in general.

“I don’t mind critiques about me, my music,” she explained on the show. “I don’t even mind the fat comments, you know. I just feel like it’s unfair sometimes, the treatment that people like me receive. ... People are like, ‘Don’t let ’em see you with your head down.’ My head is always up.”

Lizzo continued by explaining how she never lets hateful comments get to her, and how she recognizes that with her platform she must emphasize how despicable trolls shouldn’t be tolerated.

“Even when I’m upset and even when I’m crying, my head is up,” she said. “But I know it’s my job as an artist to reflect at times, and this should not fly. This shouldn’t be OK.”

Earlier this week, Cardi B took to social media to support her “Rumors” collaborator after Lizzo shared her emotions on Instagram Live.

When you stand up for yourself they claim your problematic & sensitive. When you don’t they tear you apart until you crying like this. Whether you skinny, big, plastic, they going to always try to put their insecurities on you.Remember these are nerds looking at the popular table. https://t.co/jE5eJw8XP6

“When you stand up for yourself they claim your problematic & sensitive,” Cardi tweeted. “When you don’t they tear you apart until you crying like this. Whether you skinny, big, plastic, they going to always try to put their insecurities on you.”

Other artists have come to support Lizzo as well. TMZ asked Offset what he thinks of the hate she’s getting, and he told them he thinks she should be left alone.

“Let these beautiful Black women, let these women be great,” Offset said. “Stop judging and bringing out negative energy. We work hard to be entertainers for the world, let us be.”

Offset also commended Facebook for deleting some of the harassment Lizzo has received.
