During an appearance on the Million Dollaz Worth of Game podcast, Kodak Black opened up about his friendship with Lil Baby and how the rapper is “proud” of him.

When asked at the 44:30 point for his current top five rappers, Kodak listed himself, KTB Rico, YoungBoy Never Broke Again, Lil Durk, and Plies. But then he made sure to give a shout-out to Lil Baby, with whom he previously collaborated on the 2021 track “Nobody.”

“I salute Lil Baby, though,” he said around the 46:00 mark. “He stay out the way … Coolin’ and shit.” He went on to explain their friendship more, and said the Atlanta rapper reached out to him months before the arrival of his most recent album, Back for Everything. “A few months ago, before I dropped Back for Everything, Lil Baby was telling me, like, ‘I want to see you take over this shit again. I wanna see you back on top.’” He said the rapper told him that he was “proud” of him, and believed he could prove to listeners what he’s capable of.

When asked if there’s any artists he hasn’t worked with yet but would like to, he drew a blank when it came to rappers but mentioned he still wants to collab with Beyoncé. “I got two bars I want her to do,” Kodak said at the 48:00 mark of the chat, at which point he sang the lines he wrote for her. “Here’s some pictures of your family and our children / Baby boy you’re the only one missing.” This isn’t the first time Kodak has said he wants to get Beyoncé on a track, as he told TMZ about his plans last year. “It’s gonna happen,” he maintained.

In an earlier portion of the interview, Kodak spoke about some of his experiences behind bars. He said that he was restrained multiple times when he was in prison, and described guards ignoring his screams for help. Kodak also revealed that he has a high success rate when it comes to hitting up women over DMs, and the drool emoji is his go-to. “Hennessy, she ain’t fuckin’ with me,” he laughed at 19:00 point, referring to him shooting his shot at Cardi B’s sister, Hennessy Carolina.
