Over the weekend, Jay Electronica jumped on Twitter to praise a handful of rap legends.

The New Orleans rapper kicked things off by giving Drake props for his Hall of Fame-worthy bars on Certified Lover Boy opener “Champagne Poetry.”

“For Drake’s bars on Champagne Poetry alone, his face gets carved in the pyramids,” Jay Electronica wrote.

The Noah “40” Shebib-produced track features some of Drake’s best lines on his latest album, as Drizzy reflects on his position in the rap game. “I know I tend to talk about how I got a fortune on me,” he raps. “But with that comes the politics the city been forcing on me/Man, I can’t even R.I.P. and show my remorse to the homie/Know I carry the guilt of the city’s misfortunes on me.”

Shortly after saluting Drake, Jay turned his attention to Kanye West and The Game’s new collaboration, “Eazy.”

“E A Z Y is one of the greatest records of all times. Don’t @ me. You’re unqualified to debate me,” he wrote.

Jay’s comments arrive just days after he shared texts between him in Ye in which he let Yeezy know he “punished that fucking ‘Eazy’ verse.” Jay Elec added that he would love to hop on a future version of the song. “I wanna put a verse on it. Lol,” Jay added.

On Sunday, Jay Elec continued giving his peers their flowers, praising Jay-Z for delivering “one of the greatest hooks of all time” on their 2020 collaboration “A.P.I.D.T.A.;” as well as blessing hip-hop heads with the “greatest entendre ever” on their 2010 song “Shiny Suit Theory.”

“All praise is due to Allah for blessing dirty old me to make a song like this, on which My Brother @sc gave one of the greatest hooks of all time (in my expert opinion),” Jay Elec wrote in reference to Hov’s hook on “A.P.I.D.T.A.”

Jay Elec continued, “The greatest Entendre ever said by any rapper ever is the Immaculate Conception/My God is so hard to conceive bar was said by @sc on here. These are facts. Don’t @ me. You are unqualified. Yes you! Don’t get blocked. That ain’t P.”

Hov’s full line from “Shiny Suit Theory” is as follows: “In the world of no justice and black ladies on the back of buses/I’m the immaculate conception of rappers-slash-hustlers/My God, it’s so hard to conceive/But it all falls perfect, I’m like autumn is to trees.”
