Jack Harlow connects with Bryson Tiller and their Louisville roots in the new video for his song “Luv Is Dro” featuring Static Major.

The visual opens by paying tribute to the late great Kentucky native Static Major, whose iconic voice the song uses in the beginning. Then, utilizing a lot of throwback aesthetics like sidekick cellphones and oversized sports jerseys, we follow Harlow and Tiller through a smooth house party as imagery of Major can be found in different scenes.

On social media, Jack specified that “this one is for the city.” And in the comments section of an Instagram post teasing the release, DJ Drama affirmed, “U make Louisville, Kentucky Proud!!”

“Luv Is Dro” is one of the standout tracks on Harlow’s last studio album, December 2020’s Thats What They All Say, which featured a strong lineup of guests including Lil Baby, Big Sean, EST Gee, Adam Levine, and more. Along with that successful record last year, Harlow just recently notched his first No. 1 song with Lil Nas X for the Montero single “Industry Baby.”

Tiller and Harlow have natural chemistry as they both hail from Louisville, Kentucky. In Complex’s new cover story with the rapper and comedian Druski, writer Jewel Wicker also spoke with Tiller, who shared that he and Harlow spoke about doing a project together.

“We never got around to doing it, just because I wasn’t in the right headspace,” Tiller said. “But I think now, if [he] and I linked up, it would be super dope.” He added that they “definitely have to make something happen in the future.”

While we wait for a potential collab project between the two, watch the new video for Jack Harlow’s “Luv Is Dro” featuring Bryson Tiller and Static Major up top.
