Jack Harlow and Bryson Tiller both rep Louisville, Kentucky and have collaborated in the past. As it turns out, the two had also discussed doing a joint project.

In a profile on Harlow that arrives alongside Complex’s new cover story with the rapper and comedian Druski, writer Jewel Wicker spoke with Tiller who shared he and Harlow had talked about a potential collaborative project. “We never got around to doing it, just because I wasn’t in the right headspace,” Tiller said. “But I think now, if [he] and I linked up, it would be super dope.”

He added, “We definitely have to make something happen in the future.”

Tiller heaped praise on Harlow for doing “his own thing” in the music industry. “Never asked for a handout. He just got back in the studio and worked harder,” he explained. “He loves the city just as much as I do, if not more. And, man, he’s inspiring the next kid in Louisville to do it.”

The level of respect is mutual for Jack Harlow, who recounted his reaction in high school when Bryson Tiller broke through as a notable act from Louisville. “Bryson Tiller comes out. I’m in awe. I’m inspired. And I’m totally jealous. And I’m just like, ‘Oh my God, this guy got it.’”

The two artists worked on “Thru the Night” off Harlow’s 2019 mixtape Confetti, as well as the rapper’s debut album Thats What They All Say on “Luv Is Dro.”
