French Montana has linked up with Fabolous for their new song and video, “Say Less.”
Shot at New York City Asian-fusion restaurant Sei Less, the video for the energetic track sees the two rappers enjoying themselves at the restaurant and its company. They also are joined by their clique outside of the location, rapping in front of a whole slew of exotic cars. The track itself is filled with references to their favorite Asian dishes, while French also namedrops Jack Harlow in a reference to his track “First Class.”
It’s not the only new music to come from Fabolous on Friday, though, as he also dropped his new track “1 Thing Freestyle.” Shot with a far more lo-fi style than the “Say Less” clip, the Abeni Nazeer-directed video to accompany the freestyle takes the form of low-key behind-the-scenes footage of Fabolous.
Just last month, Fabolous showed up for DJ Drama’s “Forever,” which was also accompanied by a cinematic video. Produced by DJ Cannon, Fabolous was joined on the song by Jim Jones, Benny the Butcher, and Capella Grey.
Meanwhile, French Montana linked up with his brother Ayoub for their track “Slidin” last month, which was self-recorded and self-produced. French’s frequent collaborator Kodak Black also teased that he’s got a full-length collaborative project with the NYC rapper on the way. “Me and French Montana gon’ fucking around and drop an album soon,” Kodak said in a clip from an Instagram Live stream last week. “My album—Spotify, make sure you playlist that shit. I mean, fuck everybody. Playlist my shit. My shit be top rope. Me and French Montana shit top rope, too.”
