Kodak Black’s twerk session with his date at a Florida Panthers game had everyone talking, and even the police got involved.

WPLG Local 10 News reports that the authorities were informed of the dancing between Kodak and rapper Essence at the Panthers-Canucks game on Tuesday night in Sunrise, Florida.

However, the police didn’t seem too concerned, confirming that the pair weren’t having sex in the viral video that was taken in a suite at FLA Live Arena. They reportedly said Black and Essence were just “being young and having fun.” No charges will stem from the incident.

While the NHL and the Panthers haven’t responded to the situation, the NHL did tweet and delete photos of Kodak at the game. The 24-year-old posted the grinding session to his Instagram page, captioning the clip, “Fly Lifestyle.”

When the footage first cropped up, many attendees came to Kodak’s defense. The person who originally uploaded the video of them later tweeted, “I took the original video and I know they weren’t having sex lol.” Other people who were at the game also confirmed it was just dancing, with another user tweeting, “Was right there and saw it from lower bowl—was just twerking!!”

While Kodak hasn’t otherwise addressed the incident, he did post a TikTok someone else made showing his pants falling down during the game. The video reads, “When you’re at a hockey game and Kodak Blacks pants fall down.”
