In an Instagram Story update, Cardi—who recently made her first red carpet appearance since giving birth to her and Offset’s second child together—first shouted out the “amazing compliments on my body” before offering support for other mothers who have recently given birth.
“I think it’s because, right now, I got some amazing hips due to my gorgeous son, because he was sitting so low,” Cardi said. “You know, when your baby is low, your hips spread.” From there, Cardi ran through a few examples of questions she’s received, including speculation from some that liposuction or a tummy tuck had recently occurred, though such speculation is—as is always worth mentioning—not anyone’s business.
“You cannot do surgery after you give birth, especially me,” Cardi said. “I lost so much blood, guys. One day, I’m going to tell you guys about my crazy ass delivery.”
Speaking to other mothers, Cardi urged a patient approach. “Fuck it,” she said. “Take y’all fucking time. It’s really hard dealing with kids, especially when you [have] two kids after giving birth.”
Cardi B and Offset announced the birth of their second child last month, saying in a joint statement they were “so overjoyed” to finally meet their son.
“He is already loved so much by family and friends and we can’t wait to introduce him to his other siblings,” the couple said.
In August, Cardi linked up with Lizzo for the official video for their collab “Rumors,” directed by Tanu Muino. Revisit that below.
