In a since-deleted tweet, Bow Wow responded to fans who were critical of his decision to sell meet and greet tickets for as much as $1,000.

“You see when I’m chilling minding my business staying off the net THEY STILL HAVE TO TALK ABOUT ME,” he tweeted late on Monday (Sept. 5). “One week it’s ‘Bow Wow sells out O2 Arena he’s a goat’ to who wants to meet him for 1k? Ya baby momma n***a that’s who. Read before u post bout me. Stop playing with the dog.”

The $1,000 ticket price is for a “Diamond VIP Experience” as part of The Millennium Tour Turned Up, and offers a personal meeting with the rapper. The tour kicks off this October, and will see him joined by Mario, Keri Hilson, and a rotating series of guests including Lloyd, and Chingy. Since there’s actually two other meet and greet packages, with one costing $150 and the other $450, Bow Wow previously addressed the confusion on Twitter before the criticism made one video go viral.

“A lot of you guys are asking what’s the different between Ticketmaster Meet and greets,” he wrote. “Then there my VIP meet n greets that released yesterday… I’ll explain...”

“As for my special VIP meet and greet experience,” he continued. “They will gain more access more private time with me also will gain access to my private club and everything you can name. There are 3 different packages to choose from. Its all about how close do you want your experience to be.”

His response to the backlash came later, when a TikTok video breaking down how much the rapper was charging went viral across the video sharing site and on Twitter.

“There is a level of celebrity that you have to be in order to obtain $1,000 per person, and the facts are what they are: Bow Wow, sister girl, you are not that level of celebrity,” the woman said in the clip. “At the most, $250. Maybe I’ll get it off a Groupon for $75, but ain’t no way in this hell or the next one that you getting $1,000. Even though you’re giving quite a bit, it’s still not $1,000 worth.
