Mississauga’s own AR Paisley is back with “Grind,” a sneak peak at a project he’s dropping later this year.

Following the buzz surrounding “Hunnids” featuring fellow GTA rising star anders, “Grind” shows Paisley experimenting with drill-inspired sounds over an uptempo beat. Lyrically, the track calls out a snake in Paisley’s life while it tells listeners to keep moving forward, even in the face of adversity.

“Grind is the second single from my upcoming project I’m dropping at the end of the summer. I felt like I haven’t been vulnerable with my fans in a while and I wanted to give them the honest AR, while showcasing the new sound I’ve been experimenting with,” says Paisley about the track. “After the success of ‘Hunnids’ with anders, I had many songs that were like that I could’ve released, but I felt like this one was the best one to release and give my fans an opening into my life.

“‘Stay on your grind’ is something I’ve been telling myself non stop over the last couple of years, after all the trials and tribulations I’ve gone through in the last couple year, losing my father, almost losing everything I had and taking the route to follow my dreams instead of giving up, staying on my grind has helped me bounce back and get to where I am now.”
