Nicki Minaj recently opened up to Billboard as part of their end of the year cover story, where she talked extensively about Meek Mill, her new ABC sitcom, Black Lives Matter, and much more. On the status of her and Meek, Nicki said that they're currently not engaged and that Meek was planning to get her three diamond rings before they get married.

Of course, last night Nicki showed off a new massive diamond that looked to be an engagement ring, but as Nicki said was just a birthday gift. With the struggles of being in a high profile relationship with Meek, Nicki actually said it was Jay Z and Beyoncé who offered up some helpful words recently. "They were so giving with advice. I love them so much. It was just a beautiful conversation to have with people we love and we look up to as a couple. They’re so strong," Nicki said.

Though Nicki and Meek's relationship appears to be stronger than ever right now, she said that he still doesn't let her hear his music before it drops. "Right now, he’s about to put out a mixtape, and I haven’t heard it. We laugh about this all the time," Nicki revealed. That mixtape is presumably Dreamchasers 4, which Meek has been promoting for the past few months.

Interestingly enough, Nicki mentioned in the interview that she's definitely going to drop another mixtape during her career, though she didn't give any hints about a release date. "Well, I want to touch a couple of beats that I wasn’t on. I could have bodied a lot of the records that came out in the last year. But the main thing is, I have to set an example for female rappers," Nicki said. Nicki hasn't released a mixtape since her game-changing project, Beam Me Up Scotty, dropped in 2009.

Aside from music, Nicki also touched on some talking points for the upcoming election and her ongoing support of the Black Lives Matter movement. Nicki mentioned that she thinks Donald Trump is hilarious, but an editor's note said that the interview was done before Trump made his recent comments about stopping Muslim immigration to the United States.
