Birdman Is Still Going Through the Seven Stages of Grief With Lil Wayne

He longs for his son, Weezy F. Baby.

Over the weekend, Birdman posted the above picture on his Instagram, which shows him posing in front of a portrait of Lil Wayne. The caption on the photo reads, "4Life LFLS YMCMB," and it basically made my heart drop. Birdman is currently going through the seven stages of grief. The shock and denial stage passed, but not before he made CMRG-only sweatsuits that left out the Young Money. We were all hurt.

Birdman then turned to pain and guilt, which was clear during his interview with Angie Martinez. Throughout the whole interview he knew. He knew that he had lost the one he loved. His son, Weezy F. Baby. "He mean the world to me," Birdman said to Angie, as I wept while playing Like Father Like Son on loop.

Baby has seen plenty of the anger stage during this breakup, and it possibly includes throwing drinks at Wayne at a club and maybe orchestrating the shooting up of Weezy's tour bus. The second of which is very serious, though Baby has continually claimed he had nothing to do with it. I now turn on "Always Strapped" to remember the better times.

The depression stage is where we now find Birdman. He's let the anger go and is finally realizing that he truly misses Lil Wayne. Whether he's actually listening to Savage Garden's "Truly, Madly, Deeply" on repeat is unconfirmed. Not only is he posing in front of portraits of Wayne and remembering the good times, but he's also already brought back the YMCMB apparel. It was literally gone for 10 days. I might be ironing my Tha Carter III shirt while listening to "Money to Blow."

Where can things go from here? Birdman needs to make the upward turn, work through it, and look for hope. And what better place for this reunion than at Wayne's "Lil Weezyana Fest" later this month? With the rest of the Hot Boys confirmed to be attending, this would be the perfect time for Wayne and Birdman to put all of the differences aside and work this out.

Life just isn't as fun with Baby and Weezy beefing. The classics they brought the world outweigh any turmoil they could possibly have together. So as Birdman goes through these stages of grief, we plead with the both of them: Fuck the bullshit, guys. Give the world some more of that YMCMB magic.

"Birdman JR., fuck the world pops, and we gonna keep it moving even if the world stops."
