Yves Tumor was booed off stage during their opening set for Swedish House Mafia—and they had some choice words for the fans who didn’t like their set.

Yves, the stage name of Sean Lee Bowie, opened for Swedish House Mafia at Arthur Ashe Stadium in New York on Thursday (Sept. 11). Instead of hyping people up, Yves managed to anger what seemed like everyone in attendance with a set that can best be described as experimental.

In footage of the show, Yves played extremely loud experimental music as they removed their clothes and climbed over the DJ setup. The crowd immediately wasn't feeling the vibes: People booed loudly and covered their ears with their hands.

Instead of being apologetic for pissing off Swedish House Mafia’s fans, Yves later hopped on their Instagram Stories and wrote, “If anyone’s curious how the show went, I just got booed offstage for playing the best set of the night by a bunch of the corniest people I’ve ever seen in my fucking life.”

“This city is truly hell on earth,” they continued. “I thought L.A. was bad. I thought Berlin was bad. I thought Paris was bad. Berlin is definitely worse.”

Yves posted screenshots of negative reactions to their set, writing, “These subhumans are already spamming my comments. That’s how much they loved it they had that much energy to search me. I truly love my stalkers.”

In another screenshot that appeared to be sent by Swedish House Mafia’s creative director, Alexander Wessely, Yves received an apology for the crowd’s reaction.

“I’m so sorry, that was fucked up…. You killed it me and the guys loved it,” the message said.

It's unclear whether Yves will open for future Swedish House Mafia shows.
