Travis Scott was among the artists who performed as part of the 2022 edition of the Billboard Music Awards, which took place on Sunday and was broadcast live via NBC/Peacock from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

Scott, whose new album Utopia is believed to be on the horizon, performed tracks “Mafia” and a song that appears to be called “Lost Forever”—both of which are believed to be on Utopia.

Scott appeared on the stage surrounded by a snowy set, as he was decked out in shades and fur to sing through “Mafia.” He then transitioned into “Lost Forever,” a track he floated through as a trippy visual took over the screen, featuring Scott and a black backdrop. Scott previously performed the unreleased track at a Cactus Jack Dior fashion show in 2021. Watch the performance below, and check out his rendition of “Mafia” up top.

As reported earlier this month, Diddy has taken credit for securing Scott’s BBMAs slot, which notably follows his first public performance since last year’s fatal Astroworld Festival crowd crush incident that resulted in the deaths of 10 attendees. Speaking with Revolt Black News, the 2022 BBMAs host said he was “uncanceling the canceled” as part of a larger strategy focused on what he described as forgiveness. “It’s going to be a great night,” he said at the time.

Additional performers at this year’s BBMAs ceremony included Megan Thee Stallion, Latto, Rauw Alejandro, Silk Sonic, Machine Gun Kelly, and more. Red Hot Chili Peppers was also originally confirmed as part of the 2022 lineup but later pulled out due to “unforeseen circumstances.” Receiving this year’s Icon Award is Mary J. Blige.

Finalists for the 2022 Billboard Music Awards were unveiled in April, with The Weeknd standing as this year’s leading artist thanks to his appearance across 17 categories, including Top Artist. Travis Scott and HVME’s “Goosebumps” remix, meanwhile, was a finalist in the Top Dance/Electronic Song category.
