The limitless joys of "Water" took center stage on Monday night's new episode of Desus & Mero, a.k.a. the No. 1 show in late night.
Ahead of the cinematically presented, carousel-set performance of the CrasH Talkcut, Q sat down with the hosts for a quick discussion that went well enough for Q to repeatedly joke to them (and the viewers at home) about it distracting from a smoking task at hand.
Asked about his creative process, particularly his method of transitioning from one chapter of his career to the next, Q noted that he's already working on the CrasH Talk follow-up.
"I never stop working, I'm already working on the next one now," Q said. "In the process of making it, I might do half of it, go live a little bit more. I don't know how to just rap . . . because I don't even know how to talk about my life."
Q was then asked if he had any interest in working with "Rod Stewart or Celine Dion or some rockstar shit," an inquiry he met with admirable honesty: "Hell nah, I ain't trying to work with them n****s."
Catch Q's full discussion and "Water" performance up top. CrasH Talk, also featuring "Floating" and "Chopstix," is out now.
