With “Big Persona,” a track arriving ahead of next month’s release of his new album, Maxo Kream has recruited Tyler, the Creator for a celebration of all things big.

The new song follows the late July release of “Local Joker” and sees Maxo giving a nod to his Persona streetwear label while also paying tribute to his late brother.

Speaking with Complex’s Andre Gee back in August, Maxo—then fresh off the “Local Joker” release—reflected on the life lessons he’s learned in the two years since sharing his most recent project Brandon Banks.

“Just making sure it’s the right project, but then don’t take too long,” Maxo, who noted he’s grown the most “mentally” since 2019, said. “You don’t know when something like COVID is going to break out or what. Over time, I grew more as a person. Each album, I grow.”

Maxo’s new album, Weight of the World, will be out in October. Recording sessions for the new songs, as Maxo explained to Complex, actually marked a “smoother” and more focused process than those for his previous projects.

Meanwhile, Tyler is fresh off the release of his acclaimed Call Me If You Get Lost album. More recently, he unveiled dates for an accompanying tour featuring support from Vince Staples and Kali Uchis. The tour also features Teezo Touchdown and is set to launch next February with a show in San Diego, California.
