All is well between Freddie Gibbs and Jeezy.

In a recent interview with Bootleg Kev, Gibbs—whose new album $oul $old $eparately arrived last month—reflected on running into Jeezy and Jeannie Mai-Jenkins at an airport. According to Gibbs, the chance encounter spurred a “beautiful” moment between himself and the CTE World co-founder. (Gibbs was briefly a part of the larger CTE family).

“I seen Jeezy at the airport with his wife,” Gibbs said, as seen in the video up top. “I was with my girl. I seen him, we shook hands and hugged.
It just was, like, ‘Man, salute.’ It was just, like, damn. It was like a relief for both of us, I feel like. It was like a hug, we exchanged numbers, and we both got on a plane. And that was it.”

After the host described this feud-ending moment of mutual respect a “beautiful thing,” Gibbs agreed and continued.

“It was one of the most beautiful things ever, I think,” Gibbs said.

Later, Gibbs noted he had already put any issues between himself and Jeezy behind him, although getting a direct person-to-person moment like the one they shared at the airport provided added closure.

“I don’t really have nothing against Jeezy,” Gibbs said. “I looked up to Jeezy. Jeezy one of my favorite rappers. I learned a lot from him. I learned, really, how to carry myself in this rap game by being around him. I think that that was just a misunderstanding, miscommunication.”
