"No Tears Left to Cry" is, no hyperbole, pretty stellar. The new Ariana Grande single even recently resulted in a special Tonight Show episode that was basically an all-Ariana extravaganza. Now, weeks later, we've been given a Nintendo Labo-assisted rework of the Max Martin and Ilya Salmanzadeh production.

On Monday's Tonight Show, Grande joined Fallon and the Roots for the special take on the Sweetener single. Catch the results in full via the video up top.

During the couch portions of her Tonight Show appearance earlier this month, Grande detailed her Sweetener plans. "It was a really awesome experience," she said of sessions for the album, which includes contributions from Pharrell, the aforementioned Martin, and more. The new music, she added, is "kind of about bringing light to a situation or to someone's life or somebody else who brings light to your life, sweetening the situation," hence the title.

Sweetener, Grande's first new albumsince the excellent 2016 release Dangerous Woman, is slated for release later this year via Republic Records. We've known Sweetener sessions were in progress as far back as September of last year, as confirmed in a Billboard interview. At the time, Grande was interested in taking her "sweet ass time" in an effort to "keep creating." That approach has clearly paid off.
