Michael Jackson’s daughter Paris Jackson was hospitalized on Saturday after a suicide attempt, TMZ reports. Sources told the outlet it was largely because of the backlash from the two-part documentary Leaving Neverland. Paris denied TMZ's report minutes after it was published.

According to TMZ, the police and EMS responded to a call at Paris’ home in Los Angeles at 7:30 a.m. after she apparently cut her wrists. She was subsequently taken to a hospital and is now in stable condition.

Paris’ alleged suicide attempt was a reaction to the sexual assault allegations against her father in Leaving Neverland, where two men, Wade Robson and James Safechuck, speak at length about Michael allegedly molesting them when they were young.

Since the documentary’s release, Paris has argued for her father’s innocence even though she hasn’t seen Leaving Neverland. The doc has caused a lot of chaos for Michael's three children: Paris, Prince, and Prince Michael Jackson II are reportedly considering legal action against Robson and Safechuck. Since it aired on HBO, Michael’s music has been pushed out of rotation on many radio and television shows; earlier this month, it was reported that his streaming numbers and radio airplay had all dipped in the wake of Leaving Neverland

Michael’s death in 2009 was difficult for Paris, who attempted suicide in 2013. She has been open about her struggles with her mental health and depression.
