A new trailer for Atlanta Season 3 is here.
The upcoming season sees Earn (Donald Glover), Paper Boi (Brian Tyree Henry), Darius (LaKeith Stanfield), and Vanessa (Zazie Beetz) traveling throughout Europe while Paper Boi is on tour, with the characters roaming the streets of various cities and getting into shenanigans.
The season was shot on location, with news surfacing in February that the makers of Atlanta were harassed while filming Season 3 in London. Writer and executive producer Stephen Glover spoke about the incident, saying the team was approached by a group of drunk people making “insulting” to them. The group also suggested the writers could easily break into a bar because they carry guns.
“It was so insulting, but not insulting at the same time because it took us five minutes to fully understand. He got to a point of like if the insinuation was lost on us, he got specific and he was like, ‘You guys are Black, you’ve gone to jail and you do things like that.’ Like he kept doubling down on it,” Stephen Glover said.
Donald Glover later tweeted about the incident, calling the “‘racially abused’” headline “lame.” He continued, “The story is tru. But we were all laughin tellin it.”
