Early Thursday morning, Twitter timelines were set aflame after a series of what appeared to be racy Snapchat messages between Breakfast Club host DJ Envy and an unnamed person were shared by gossip sites.

Lending credence to the idea that they were real was the fact that Envy had very public issues with his wife Gia Casey back in 2013.

However, Envy took to the airwaves this morning to deny that the messages were real. You can hear him address the situation in the video above.

"I don't know where [the messages] came from," he said. "Whoever it was has been chasing all the reputable blogs, [and] nobody posted it. And I guess they found one that has."

Envy also retweeted the celebrity gossip site Fameolous, which said something similar.

Later on Thursday morning, Envy joked that the messages were actually him and Breakfast Club co-host Charlamagne tha God going back and forth.
