It's no secret—fans want new Rihanna music and they want it now. Having not released a full-length project since her 2016 album ANTIthe Rihanna Navy is getting a little restless. The pop superstar took to social media this morning to let everyone know she hears the complaints loud and clear.

On her official Instagram account, RiRi posted a photo from her recent Fenty Beauty event in Singapore. In the photo, she can be seen turning away from the dozens of cameras pointed at her and covering her face. Text has also been added to the post that reads, "When your fans keep asking you for new music."

The playful meme is not the singer's first response to her faithful fan base's interrogation for a new project. Last month while promoting her Savage x Fenty presentation at New York Fashion Week on Twitter, fans were quick to jump on her for some new tracks as well. She replied to one of the comments assuring the music was on the way—just not right now.

A 10-track dancehall album was rumored to be in the works back in July. More recently, there have been some new details surrounding the R9 LP. Swedish DJ Alesso told Daily Star that Rihanna is, in fact, working on an album currently that will reportedly feature production from popular EDM acts like Calvin Harris, David Guetta, Diplo, and Martin Garrix.

"I’ve heard she wants to take over the dance music charts, we have some mutual friends, so we’ll see what happens with that," said Alesso.

Details on R9 remain scarce aside from its potential collaborators, but hopefully at least a single is on the way sooner than later to tide over her millions of fans desperately awaiting a new record.
