After Yung Miami revealed the cover art on her socials on Monday, the Miami duo City Girls made good on their promise and dropped “Top Notch” on Friday, which features an appearance from Fivio Foreign.

“Top Notch” comes after the Quality Control signees dropped off “Twerkulator” in 2021. Before that, the pair had released their City On Lock project in 2020, which featured appearances from Yo Gotti, Doja Cat, Lil Durk and Lil Baby. As previously mentioned, Yung Miami had excitedly announced the track on her socials on Monday.

“Friday we coming 4/1,” she wrote on Instagram with a demon face emoji. “Top notch bi+Che$ tap in!”

The new City Girls single also arrives after Yung Miami and Nicki Minaj made headlines back in February. The dispute between the two MC’s erupted after the Pinkprint rapper said she wouldn’t collab with City Girls due to some social media shade she believed they directed at her. After they worked out their differences, Yung Miami said she had learned a valuable lesson in online trolling from the experience.

“Be careful of the things you say ‘cause it might catch up with you one day,” Miami told the Neighborhood Talk. “I would tell my younger self to just stop trolling, stop being childish, grow up and be mindful of the things you say because everybody is human.”

Nicki herself also confirmed the misunderstanding had been resolved.

“Just had a great convo with @ThegirlJT & @YungMiami305,” Nicki tweeted out. “Let’s move on & make new memories y’all.”

Hopefully, this means Nicki and City Girls will have something in the works in the future. In the meantime, check out “Top Notch” below and watch the track’s video up top.
