Charlamagne Tha God didn’t like the way Kanye West called out Pete Davidson in “Eazy,” calling the bars he dropped on The Game’s new single "corny as hell.”

In a sit down with The Brilliant Idiots, Charlamagne addressed the lyric around the 1:05-mark of the weekly podcast.

“I thought Kanye’s bar to Pete was corny as hell,” Charlamagne said. “I thought it was corny. I didn’t like it...what happened to Jesus? What happened to God? You weren’t even cursing on your records and now all of a sudden you wanna beat up Pete Davidson?”

Charlamagne added that he “didn’t respect” the lyric.

“I just thought the line was corny. For me, I think about what he said on Drink Champs when he said, he used all the backpackers,” he explained. “Remember he was like ‘I used all the backpackers cause I never really liked backpack rap,’ and then you see him hanging out with like a lot of the street rappers now. He’s hanging out with all these guys just to be able to say that line. You know what I mean? But I want all those street rappers to know, he’s using y’all too. But the difference is the street rappers aren’t going to be used. They gon keep they hand in Kanye West’s pockets cause wolves do not make good house pets, and Kanye West will learn that.”

When asked if Charlamagne was tired of the antics, he added that he’s “been tired of it.”

The bar being discussed was dropped on The Game’s latest track “Eazy,” with Ye rapping, “God saved me from that crash/Just so I can beat Pete Davidson’s ass.”

Kanye also alluded to Davidson in his interview with Hollywood Unlocked, reflecting back on the time he couldn’t drop his kids off at home because Kim’s “new boyfriend” was in the house.

“Took my kids back, I’m driving them and North is like, ‘I want you to come upstairs and see something,’” he told Jason Lee. “I’m hearing that the new boyfriend is in the house, where I can’t go to.”
