Montreal producer Senz Beats and American MC Lex Boogie From The Bronx have teamed up on their latest EP Modus Operandi, a project five years in the making.

Across the project’s eight tracks, you can find dense lyricism, sample-heavy and temporal beats, as well as an abundance of guests who all fit right at home on their respective tracks.

Senz Beats and Lex Boogie first began working together in 2017 when they released their first collaborative album A Tale of 2 Planets. Shortly after its release, the rapper-producer tandem began working on their follow-up which eventually became Modus Operandi

“Finding the right people to help us make it shine brighter, but it never left our field of focus and patience reaped its rewards,” said the duo in a press release.

Elucid of Armand Hammer, Nyce, and Do-Mi are all featured on the album.

Senz Beats grew up in Brussels but is now based in Montreal. He began working on music in the late 1990s when he began chopping records on Technics 1200s with which he and his best friend had to share. He’s been actively producing for other artists for over 15 years before garnering the attention of underground artists across the city and in the United States.

The album isn’t on streaming yet, but it’s available now on Bandcamp.
