Electric Adventure is Reportedly Not Returning to Seaside Heights

With numerous reports of arrests and overdoses at this weekend's Electric Avenue Seaside Heights, the Ocean County Prosecutor's Office was immediately skeptical about Electric Adventure returning to Seaside Heights. We got word that a Seaside Heights council meeting took place this evening, and Peter James Smith, who has been listed as working for the Office of Public Affairs and Public Relations for Seaside Heights, posted the following statement in the Seaside Heights Boardwalk Facebook group.

With numerous reports of arrests and overdoses at this weekend's Electric Avenue Seaside Heights, the Ocean County Prosecutor's Office was immediately skeptical about Electric Adventure returning to Seaside Heights. We got word that a Seaside Heights council meeting took place this evening, and Peter James Smith, who has been listed as working for the Office of Public Affairs and Public Relations for Seaside Heights, posted the following statement in the Seaside Heights Boardwalk Facebook group:

"And good news to all who were concerned: Electric Adventure WILL NOT BE COMING BACK! It was a mistake, said Mayor William Akers, and he and the Council took full responsibility for it. I thought it would be interesting for both locals and our family outside our borders that our so loyal to us to know what is going on as far as our Borough government meeting"

As of right now, there are no meeting minutes online, nor have Electric Adventure organizers mentioned anything about the situation over the weekend or this council meeting. We will update you on any developments with this story.
