The wait for Saweetie’s debut album just became a bit more bearable.

At midnight Friday, the West Coast native came through with her much-anticipated EP The Single Life. The project, which was confirmed last month, delivers six tracks including the newly released “Don’t Say Nothin.”

Saweetie spoke about The Single Life in a recent interview with Complex, explaining the inspiration behind some of the tracks as well as her overall goal for the project.

“I’m caught in between two emotions. I’m nervous, but I’m excited because this is the most vulnerable I’ve ever been with my music. You know?” she told Shirley Ju. “I feel like it’s my duty to share my story with this big of a platform, so this whole year was me peeling back layers of myself. I’m interested to see how my fans are going to feel about it.”

The Single Life comes as fans patiently await Saweetie’s album Pretty Bitch Music. Though she has yet to announce the official release date, she told Zane Lowe she had something on deck for next month. “There’s a lot more where that came from. That’s what I’ll say,” she told the Apple Music host. “And I got something that’s dropping very special for my Icy Girls and Icy Boys in December.”
