As fans continue to wait for Kanye West's Jesus Is King album, the multi-hyphenate has shared another sneak peek at the project's companion film

On Saturday, West posted a behind-the-scenes video that sheds more light on the film's overall aesthetic and direction. The video begins with the following Bible quote: "In the words of the Jesus Christ, 'The time is fulfilled and the kingdom of god is at the hand; repent and believe in the gospel. - Mark 1:15'" We then see Ye in Arizona's Painted Desert, where he conducts a Sunday Service inside James Turrell's new Roden Crater art installation.

"Filmed in the summer of 2019, Jesus Is King brings Kanye West’s famed Sunday Service to life in the Roden Crater, visionary artist James Turrell’s never-before-seen installation..." the IMAX press release states. "This one-of-a-kind experience features songs arranged by West in the gospel tradition along with music from his new album Jesus Is King—all presented in the immersive sound and stunning clarity of IMAX.”

You can check out the BTS video above. The Jesus Is King film will hit IMAX theaters Oct. 25, which is reportedly the same day Kanye will drop his much-anticipated ninth studio album. The gospel project, which was originally set to drop in late September, is expected to mark a new non-secular chapter for Ye.
