Many of music’s biggest stars are hitting the stage for this year’s Global Citizen Live—a 24-hour international benefit concert that aims to unite the world around pressing causes like COVID-19 relief, climate change, and poverty.

Coinciding with the UN General Assembly, the 2021 festival boasts appearances and performances from iconic locations around the globe: New York City’s hosting Coldplay, Billie Eilish, Meek Mill, Lizzo, Camila Cabello, Jennifer Lopez, Alessia Cara, and more; Paris’ acts include Doja Cat, Ed Sheeran, Elton John, and Black Eyed Peas. BTS are in Seoul, Nile Rodgers and Chic are in London, while Tiwa Savage is in Lagos and L.A. is featuring Chloe x Halle, Migos, Stevie Wonder, Demi Lovato, H.E.R., and more. Other locations include Sydney, Rio, and Mumbai, while an “All Around the World” category has Lorde, Green Day, and Metallica among its ranks.

The event is part of Global Citizen’s Recovery for the World campaign, which consists of five main objectives: eliminating COVID, putting an end to world hunger, ensuring education for everyone, defending the planet, and “advancing equity for all.”

“Right now there are 41 million people on the brink of starvation due to COVID-19,” one of the organizers told 47 ABC this week. “And we also know that the devastating effects of are causing bush fires across Northern California and all around the world, and floods and hurricanes in other parts of America. This is urgent action that the whole world needs to take right now. So, we’re inviting everyone to be a part of this once-in-a-generation moment.”

The Fugees’ reunion tour kickoff, which dazzled fans Thursday night, is also being broadcast as part of the fest.

You can stream Global Citizen Live 2021 above via YouTube or below through Twitter. The broadcast will conclude at 1 p.m. ET on Sunday. The official site notes that if you miss performances by your favorites, you can catch them all on their app.
