Though Frank Ocean has plenty of diehard fans, there's no doubt that his biggest cheerleader is the woman who raised him. Ocean's mom, Katonya Breaux Riley, has consistently shown support for the singer throughout his career—publicly praising his artistic endeavors, and commending his decision to open up about his sexuality.

This week, Riley was asked a question that has polarized many Ocean fans: Which is better, his 2012 debut album Channel Orangeor its 2016 follow-up Blonde? And, to one's surprise, she had some trouble choosing.

‪"Blonde. No wait. They were both so good, this is crazy," Riley said during an Instagram Live interview with poet/writer AJ Addae. "But I will probably say Blonde. I love 'Pink + White.' OK, Blonde."

"Why Blonde?" Addae asked.

"Because I love 'Pink + White' and Beyoncé's on 'Pink + White," Riley responded. "And I love 'Nights,' oh my god ... and oh 'White Ferrari!'"

The interview was broadcasted by skincare tech startup MÜD. Riley discussed her Unsun Cosmetics company as well as her approach to beauty and self-care. Addae says she will release the interview's full transcript in her newsletter.
