T-Pain dropped his first album in six years in 2017, with the release of his fifth studio effort, Oblivion.

The long-awaited album was apparently just the beginning of his creative surge, as he revealed in the latest episode of Joe Budden's Pull Up. During their wide-ranging discussion, Pain said that he’s about to hop on the short album trend, and release a handful of collab projects with some of the biggest producers in the game today. "I don't think there's anything wrong with short albums," he said. "I'm planning on doing a bunch of them... I plan on doing something with some producers, like, Metro[Boomin] and Zaytoven and Cardo, and shit like that."

T-Pain revealed the simplistic process behind how these projects will be made, and released to the masses. "I go into the studio with these n****s and we just do, like, six-seven songs in a night, and it's like, 'It sounds fine, let's see what people think about it.'" It will be fun to hear what Pain has in store for us when he gets in the studio with a hitmaker like Metro, or float over a piano arrangement from Zaytoven, after spending most of 2018 remixing hit records like "Bartier Cardi," and "Boo’d Up."

Just months after announcing that he founded Wiscansin University, Pain is giving his fans a chance to win some merch in honor of the 10-year anniversary of his hit single "Can’t Believe It."
