CyHi The Prynce Continues to Tease Kanye West-Produced Album

CyHi The Prynce posted a message on Instagram where he once again hinted at a Kanye-produced album being in the works. CyHi sparked the rumor earlier this month when he revealed that West would work with him on a seven-song project.

Kanye West’s seven-song album experiment came to an end this past weekend with the release of Teyana Taylor’s sophomore album K.T.S.E. After producing 36 or 37 songs, depending on how many tracks end up on the final version of Teyana’s project, Kanye doesn’t seem prepared to let this burst of creative energy die down any time soon. Earlier this month, CyHi The Prynce shared a conversation he had with West on Twitter that seemed to suggest he has a ‘Ye-produced album coming sometime down the road.

Welp @kanyewest just said “man we gotta start setting these ideas aside for your 7 songs” I said the world will never be the same!!!! All the CYHI FANS get ready!!!!!

After hearing "rumblings" of a Kanye and Chance the Rapper joint project from ‘Ye collaborator Francis & The Lights earlier this week, we couldn’t help but wonder why we haven’t heard any new developments regarding this possible upcoming CyHi album. On Thursday, CyHi posted his first selfie of the year, adding, "I have 2 albums done and Ye said he wants to do another one so I’m back in working."

After publishing their profile on Mr. West, New York Times writer Jon Caramanica appeared on NYT’s Popcast podcast where he revealed that Kanye has been entertaining the idea of making 52 songs in 52 weeks. "He said he wants to get a place in Wyoming and he thinks he wants to spend more time there," Caramanica said. "He told me at one point he wants to make 52 records in 52 weeks. Take that for what you will."

If 'Ye stays true to the seven-song album format, his collab with Chance and the CyHi record would put him at either 50 or 51 records on the year, and well within reach of his rumored 52-track goal. Kanye may not have done all of these songs in a matter of 52 weeks, but let's just cut him some slack.
