Nelly and Taylor Swift tried to bring back the magic of 2002 over the weekend when the rapper grabbed party attendee Taylor Swift on stage for an impromptu performance of, "Dilemma," a.k.a. one of the greatest moments of early '00s R&B and hip hop.

"I know you got this. I know you got this!" Nelly told a hesitant looking Swift on stage. The singer glanced out at the audience for approval before launching into the song, still seeming nervous singing a few chords early. As the performance continues, Swift noticeably loosened up and the two exchanged verses as she stepped in for Kelly Rowland's iconic chorus as a wave of nostalgia fell on the lucky Hamptons crowd.

The performance marked a rare public appearance for Swift who has been largely staying under the radar and away from the eyes of the public since FamousGate erupted last month when Kim Kardashian posted videos of a conversation between the pop singer and her husband, Kanye West, proving that her knowledge about the song "Famous" had maybe been less than truthful. Her social media response elicited a split reaction from fans with many choosing sides in the feud right along with celebrities like Selena Gomez (Team Swift) and Justin Bieber (Team Kanye).
