Alicia Keys is finally back with the release of her new single, "In Common," which is the first taste of new music from her in a few years. The track is co-written by Keys, Tayla Parks, Billy Walsh, and Illangelo, who also produced the single. "In Common" opens up sublimely on Keys' sultry R&B-tinged vocals before tropical laced percussion and a scorching beat boil over at the dance-ready hook.

Her last album, Girl on Fire, came out all the way back in 2012, and while the new single is now out, she hasn't officially announced a new project. Her previous album boasted hits, including the album's title track featuring Nicki Minaj, and debuted at No. 1 on Billboard 200 chart, selling 161,000 copies in its first week. Unfortunately, these numbers paled in comparison to her previous album, The Element Of Freedom, which sold 417,000 the week it dropped.

Keys is scheduled to appear on Saturday Night Live this upcoming weekend as the musical guest. She is also booked to perform at the opening ceremony for the UEFA Champions League Final in Italy on May 28. “It’s pretty insane. I know there is going to be 80,000 people there in person and people are all over the world are going to witness it and watch this and celebrate,” Keys told The Washington Post. "It's a huge space to fill." Keys noted fans can expect to hear new music from her at the event. For now, check out "In Common" above.
