Yo Gotti Announces Lil Uzi Vert Will Appear at Yo Gotti and Friends Birthday Bash in Memphis (UPDATE)

Yo Gotti has announced the return of his Yo Gotti and Friends Birthday Bash, set to take place in Memphis on July 15, with tickets going on sale Friday.

UPDATED 7/12, 8:00 p.m. ET: The Yo Gotti and Friends Birthday Bash has announced a new A-list rapper who will perform at the concert in Memphis this Friday.

Yo Gotti took to Instagram on Tuesday to reveal that Lil Uzi Vert will be taking the stage at FedEx Forum. “#Memphis Big Announcement,” Gotti wrote. “For 1st time ever I’m bringing @liluzivert to perform at Birthday Bash 8. This biggest show of da year!!!! 7/15.”

The event will be livestreamed on the Amazon Music Twitch channel starting at 9 p.m. ET.

Hours before Gotti broke the news, Uzi jumped on Instagram to announce a new EP, titled Red & White, which he apparently plans to release before his long-awaited project Pink Tape.

Yo Gotti’s actual birthday is May 19, but the rap mogul is ringing in 41 two months later with the return of his Yo Gotti and Friends Birthday Bash in his hometown of Memphis.

Gotti revealed on Wednesday that the eighth iteration of his birthday concert will unfold at FedEx Forum in Memphis on Friday, July 15, 2022.

When talking about the event, Gotti teased surprise guests and special performances to really make the celebration one that the city remembers.

“Birthday Bash is back and it’s going to be better than ever,” Yo Gotti said in a statement. “I have a few surprises and special performances for my hometown family, but just know that I’m gonna keep putting on for the city that raised me. The energy at FedEx Forum will be unforgettable and fans won’t want to miss it.”

Gotti’s Birthday Bash celebration began in 2013 and has only grown alongsidehis career. In the past, Gotti has brought out Megan Thee Stallion, Lil Baby, Nicki Minaj, Lil Wayne, Meek Mill, Rick Ross, T.I., City Girls, Jeezy, Monica, Gucci Mane, Polo G, Boosie Badazz, Master P, NLE Choppa ​​​​​​, and more. With this being the first one since 2019, after the pandemic derailed the celebration, it’s sure to be returning bigger and better than ever.

Tickets for Yo Gotti and Friends Birthday Bash go on sale Friday (May 6) at 10 a.m. ET on Ticketmaster.com, with pre-sale tickets available Thursday (May 5) at 10 a.m. ET with the code FINALE.
