EST Gee Teases Potential Jack Harlow Collab Project: 'Jack Could Drop a Tape With Me and Him. He Is'

EST Gee talks to Apple Music 1 about how Jack Harlow impacted his career, and revealed that a collab project between the two might be on the way.

EST Gee is preparing to release a collaborative project with his CMG labelmate 42 Dugg called Last Ones Left on Friday. But in an upcoming interview with Ebro Darden on Apple Music 1, the Louisville rapper revealed Dugg isn’t the only person he’s potentially cooking up a full release with.

In an exclusive clip from the interview above, Gee talked about his relationship with fellow Louisville native Jack Harlow, how the “Nail Tech” artist helped him maneuver through the industry, and the possibility of a complete tape together.

“That’s my guy, Jack. He really played a big part in my career, I feel like,” Gee said during the interview. “He just believed in me, you know what I’m saying? Like when people ain’t get it…I wasn’t around the right part of the industry yet. So like, I can’t go, I couldn’t go Jack’s way. But he tried to take me his way. ... So I love Jack, exactly. Jack’s the GOAT, the coldest. They see Jack, they can’t fuck with Jack. They know they can’t fuck with Jack, and Jack know they can’t fuck with me. So we straight.”

The two rappers connected on Harlow’s “Route 66,” which had solid chart success. In terms of more music together, Gee talked about a collab tape with Harlow that he’s ready for.

“He got a lot of songs he ain’t put out that’s cold,” Gee said. “Jack could drop a tape with me and him. He is. I had to get my stuff together, but it’s time now. So it don’t look like he’s just doing his boy a favor. I’m ready now.”

Harlow recently revealed the cover art and release date for his next studio album, Come Home the Kids Miss You, due out May 6, along with his new single “First Class” dropping April 8.
