Amidst her meteoric rise over the last year, Coi Leray has also experienced some of the pitfalls that come with having a viral song like “No More Parties.” While the track has been heavily successful, already going platinum, it’s also come with waves of hate from critics who didn’t enjoy the song or its virality.

In a recent Instagram Stories post, Coi shared how collaborator Lil Durk helped her deflect the criticism and prevent quitting music altogether.

“Almost gave up one day and he told me don’t ever stop,” Coi wrote on Monday. “Most artist show love from a distance on some weird shit but this man right here believed in me, believe in No More Parties and been behind me ever since. He know a star when he see one and I just wanna thank you for all your support. OTF FOREVER.”

Durk hopped on Coi’s “No More Parties” remix and their song peaked at No. 26 on the Billboard Hot 100. Coi is now on the road with Durk and Lil Baby as an opener for their Back Outside Tour.

This past summer, videos of the unenthusiastic crowd at Coi Leray’s Rolling Loud went viral. When talking to TMZ in August, she said the chatter didn’t bother her.

“I wouldn’t be who I am if I wasn’t for me,” Leray told TMZ. “I feel like there’s only one of me and the reason why everything is the way it is is because of me. So it don’t matter if they’re talking bad or good—they’re talking because of me.”

In related news, Lil Durk recently connected with Rod Wave to deliver the new video for the melodic rapper's song “Already Won.” The track comes off the deluxe version of Wave’s most recent album Soulfly. You can check out the new video below.
