It’s been a busy week for new music. After a nearly six-year hiatus, Adele is back with a new album, 30, featuring the electrifying standout “Oh My God.” Freddie Gibbs and Jadakiss joined forces for their first collaboration in years on “Black Illuminati.” Isaiah Rashad and Young Nudy united on “Deep Blue” from the The House Is Burning deluxe edition. And this week’s list also includes collaborations from Morray and Benny the Butcher, Snoop Dogg and Blxst, Rico Nasty and Flo Milli, and more.

“Oh My God” is a mid-tempo song with an electrifying beat that finds Adele jumping into a romantic situation that she isn’t ready for. On the track, Adele is losing herself in the relationship. “Maybe, baby, I’m just losing my mind/ ‘Cause this is trouble, but it feels right/ Teetering on the edge of Heaven and Hell/ Is a battle that I cannot fight,” she sings. “Oh My God” is a standout from Adele’s newly-released studio album, 30

Straight out the gate, Freddie Gibbs starts rapping over a mellow beat with soulful background vocals, produced by Arianna Reid and Bizness Boi. On the track, Freddie lays down a bar-heavy verse, spitting, “If you trappin’, keep a strap close/ Nowadays, this shit became a trend to snake /Your homies out ‘cause everybody backdoor.” Jadakiss also appears on the track, representing the duo’s first collaboration since 2012. “A lot of niggas are nice, but they are not him (Jada)/ It’s really nothing that you can do to stop him (Hater)/ Call him the god MC just like Rakim,” he raps. 

Isaiah Rashad f/ Young Nudy, “Deep Blue”

Isaiah Rashad and Young Nudy united on “Deep Blue,” a hypnotic single with a soothing beat courtesy of Kal Banx. On the track, Isaiah raps about women and his status, while Young Nudy focuses more on his own come-up. “I was fucked up in the trenches, I was a starver/ So I’m addicted to my product, I’m a grabber,” Nudy raps. The chorus is also bouncy, compelling listeners to want to dance. “Deep Blue” appears on the deluxe version of Isaiah Rashad’s The House Is Burning

Rico Nasty f/ Flo Milli, “Money”

Over a sample of “We Want Some Pussy’ by 2 Live Crew, Rico Nasty joins forces with Alabama’s Flo Milli for a fun and twerkable record. Rico interpolates the chorus from 2 Live’s 1986 record, changing the words to, “We want some money.” She also raps about wanting to live a luxurious lifestyle and receiving expensive gifts. Flo Milli jumps on the single on the second verse, spitting, “I got a smart mouth, don’t pour your heart out/ Pretty lil bitch from the South/ Shawty so different, stand out from the crowd/ Eat up his pockets but this ain’t In-N-Out.” 

Morray f/ Benny the Butcher, “Never Fail”

On “Never Fail,” Morray is hypnotizing as he lays down dizzying verses about his drive to succeed. “I had some niggas, that said I wouldn’t make it/ My nigga, they said I would fall off/ Fuck a bitch nigga and his opinion,” he sings. Benny the Butcher also joins the North Carolina artist, rapping about going from street money to fame. “Never Fail” is expected to appear on Morray’s forthcoming album. 

Snoop Dogg f/ Blxst, “Go to War”

“Go to War” is a smooth single that marks a collaboration between Snoop Dogg and LA’s Blxst. On the track, Blxst shows off his melodic vocals as he sings about the loyalty he has for his lover. “You know I go to war for you/ Girl I been 100 show you loyal too/ I guess I still get more to prove,” he sings. Snoop Dogg also shows his softer side, singing with AutoTune about trust and loyalty. “You ever heard of reciprocal?/ Well you get what you give, it ain’t difficult,” Snoop later raps. “Go to War” appears on Snoop Dogg Presents Algorithm

French Montana f/ Doja Cat & Saweetie, “Handstand”

“Handstand” is a bouncy club record in which French Montana collaborates with Doja Cat and Saweetie. On the track, Doja and Saweetie kick things off with a call-and-response chorus before French Montana launches into a verse about designer possessions, cars, and women. Doja later comes back in with a seductive verse, spitting, “He need a stripper-type of body, need it flexible/ He like it thick like she ignorin’ all her vegetables.” Saweetie closes the track out, rapping, “So where them project niggas with them big ass figures?/ I’m a high-class bitch, need a big bag spender.” “Handstand” appears on French’s album, They Got Amnesia.

Earl Sweatshirt, “2010”

“2010” is a new record from Earl Sweatshirt that makes the most of vintage, electronic sounds. Earl explores his inner thoughts and struggles with depression and solitude. “In the dark inside, we was real hungry/ On a seven of the five, we was real hungry/ And I didn’t look back when I broke soil/ ‘Cause every time I did it would hurt more,” he spits on the chorus. 

Willow f/ Kid Cudi& Travis Barker, “Transparent Soul (Remix)”

On the “Transparent Soul (Remix),” Willow unites with Kid Cudi. On the track, Cudi lays down some of his soothing hums before Willow rips into a rock verse about seeing through fake friends and lovers. Kid Cudi delivers a new verse, singing with soft vocals, “Yeah, you know me, lost boy, the lonely/ Fire envy burn through the night/ I will show you soon, you’ll be believin’/ See through my soul, baby, let me burn ya.” 

Kaytranada f/ H.E.R., “Intimidated”

On “Intimidated,” Kaytranda recruited H.E.R. to deliver soft vocals over an upbeat and danceable beat. On the track, H.E.R. sings about seizing the moment, singing, “It’s our time/ Don’t wanna waste the feel/ Like we can make it real/ Don’t run away when you could be lovin’ me.” “Intimidated” is a joyful record that would certainly dominate the dance club scene. The single is expected to be the title track of Kaytranda’s next project.
