After a layoff of more than four months, Bruno Mars'24K Magic is back in the Billboard Top 10, and its resurgence can be largely credited to a strong showing by its single, "Finesse," which is seeing second life thanks to a remix with Cardi B. As pointed out by Billboard:
The remix is merged with the original version of "Finesse," and contributes to the SEA and TEA units of the song's parent album, as most remixes do.
In total, sales for 24K Magic were up 75 percent, which totaled 37,000 units, and which allowed for the album (which was released in 2016) to sit at fourth on the charts.
As for the three spots above (and six below) they broke down as follows: For the second straight week at No. 1 it's the soundtrack for the Hugh Jackman/Zac Efron movie The Greatest Showman, which moved a total of 104,000 units. In second was Ed Sheeran's ÷ (Divide), which sold about half as much with 53,000 equivalent units. In third was G-Eazy's The Beautiful and the Damned, which sold 38,000 units.
Rounding out the 5-10 spots were: Post Malone's Stoney (37,000 units), Taylor Swift's Reputation (36,000 units), Eminem's Revival (36,000 units), Kendrick Lamar's DAMN (35,000 units), Huncho Jack's Huncho Jack, Jack Huncho (32,000 units) and, finally, Sam Smith's The Thrill of it All (29,000 units).
